We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Manager with a strong background in packaging machinery to join a leading industrial equipment business. This is a field-based role covering the UK, so candidates can be based anywhere in the country, provided they are comfortable with regular national travel to customers. The successful candidate will have a proven track record selling packaging machinery or closely related capital equipment into manufacturing, food, FMCG, e-commerce, or industrial production environments.

You will be responsible for managing existing accounts, developing new business, and delivering technical, solution-led sales from initial enquiry through to order and installation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and grow sales of packaging machinery across UK manufacturing sectors
  • Manage and expand key customer accounts
  • Identify and win new business opportunities
  • Conduct site visits, product demonstrations, and technical consultations
  • Work closely with engineering teams to deliver tailored solutions
  • Prepare quotations and manage full sales cycle activity
  • Achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets
Requirements:
  • Essential: Experience selling packaging machinery or similar capital equipment
  • Strong technical understanding of industrial machinery and production processes
