We are working on behalf of a well established specialist contractor and manufacturer of industrial flooring and surfacing systems. With a strong reputation for delivering high performance solutions across commercial and industrial sectors, the company is now looking to appoint a Sales Engineer to help drive new business and manage existing client relationships in the East region.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a technically minded sales professional who enjoys building long-term customer relationships, managing projects, and contributing to business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and grow an established client portfolio across a defined geographic territory
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with both new and existing clients
- Conduct site visits to understand project requirements and propose tailored solutions
- Prepare and follow up on technical quotations and commercial proposals
- Attend project meetings and liaise with internal departments to support successful delivery
- Assist with project planning, health and safety documentation (RAMS), and installation handovers
- Maintain up-to-date records of sales activity, forecasts, and project tracking information
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events as required
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical sales or sales engineering
- Proven track record in generating new business and managing customer relationships
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to interpret client requirements and offer appropriate engineered solutions
- Full UK driving licence
- MUST HAVE: Previous experience in the supply or installation of flooring systems, resin coatings, cladding, decking, or other prefabricated construction materials
- Background in civil engineering, construction, or related technical fields
- Experience working with contractors, facilities managers, or end-users in commercial/industrial sectors
- Competitive basic salary starting from £38,000 - £50,000 (negotiable based on experience)
- Quarterly individual sales bonus

- 20 days annual leave plus loyalty-based increases (up to 25 days)

- All necessary equipment provided (laptop, phone, etc.)
This is a field-based role. The role would suit candidates based in or near Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Suffolk or Norfolk.
