This is a varied, hands-on role that would suit someone with strong maintenance, facilities, estates, building services, or multi-skilled trade experience. You will play a key role in ensuring buildings, laboratories, equipment, and associated services are maintained to a high standard while supporting ongoing refurbishment and improvement projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Maintaining and repairing building fabric, including basic carpentry, decorating, plumbing, and general repairs.
- Supporting refurbishment, fit-out, and improvement projects.
- Installing, moving, and modifying office and laboratory furniture.
- Assisting with the installation and modification of mechanical and building services, including water, compressed air, gas, extraction, and ventilation systems.
- Supporting the installation and relocation of specialist equipment.
