Our client is looking for an experienced PCB Inspector to join their successful and growing Electronics Manufacturing business based in Somerset. The successful candidate will be responsible for visually inspecting assembled PCBs and electronic assemblies to ensure products meet the highest quality standards and customer requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Inspect PCBs to IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards using magnification equipment, AOI, and X-ray systems
- Liaise closely with Production teams regarding inspection findings and quality issues
- Support Production Technicians through fault analysis, feedback, and internal training
- Manage and resolve inspection queries and raise NCRs where applicable
- Monitor product quality throughout the build process and report issues as required
- Carry out rework activities when necessary
Skills & Experience Required:
- Understanding of component identification codes including resistors, capacitors, and ICs
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Previous PCB inspection and assembly experience to IPC-A-610 Class 2 minimum preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain concentration during repetitive inspection tasks
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines
- Proactive and team-oriented approach
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good dexterity and hand-eye coordination
