Business Development Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a leading manufacturer of specialist cable management, cable entry and sealing solutions, covering the South West of England.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional with experience selling technical products into industrial, engineering, infrastructure or electrical markets.

The Role

You will be responsible for developing new business and growing existing customer relationships across the South West.

Working with end users, OEMs, contractors, distributors and engineering businesses, you will provide technically focused solutions while identifying opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a regional business development strategy across the South West.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Manage, develop and grow existing customer accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, contractors, engineers and end users.
  • Provide technical advice and recommend appropriate cable management and sealing solutions.
  • Conduct customer visits, site surveys, presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Prepare quotations and negotiate commercial agreements.
  • Work closely with internal engineering and technical teams to develop customer solutions.
  • Monitor market activity and identify opportunities with new and existing customers.
  • Achieve agreed revenue, margin and business development targets.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales reports.

About You

  • Proven experience in Business Development, Technical Sales or Area Sales.
  • Experience selling technical products into industrial, engineering or electrical markets.
  • Knowledge of cable glands, cable cleats, cable entry, cable management, sealing systems or associated electrical products.
  • A strong track record of new business development and account growth.
  • Excellent technical and commercial communication skills.
  • Experience dealing with OEMs, distributors, contractors and end users.
  • A consultative and solution-led approach to sales.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the South West.
