Position Overview

Part-time 0.4 FTE, term‑time fixed‑term post beginning Monday 17th August 2026 at WQE Sixth Form College. The role involves teaching A‑Level Physics (AQA specification) and contributing to the Physics component of the AAQ Applied Science qualification (Pearson specification). The successful candidate may also contribute to other curriculum areas.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality teaching in A‑Level Physics and AAQ Applied Science.
  • Support students’ academic progress and overall learning experience.
  • Collaborate with the Physics, Electronics, Computer Science and IT (PECIT) team.
  • Use the well‑resourced laboratory and teaching facilities.

Qualifications

  • Qualified teacher status or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching physics at A‑Level and knowledge of AQA and Pearson specifications.
  • Desirable: experience teaching other science subjects.
