Bring your energy for fast-paced repairs and people leadership to our growing WPS business in the West Midlands. You’ll support the Project Lead day‑to‑day — and step up to lead the contract when needed — while keeping operations safe, compliant and on track across Voids, Disrepair, Day‑to‑Day Repairs and Planned Works.
What You’ll Do
- Run an efficient operation — optimise resources and embed practical policies and procedures that hit contract requirements and KPIs.
- Own the workflow — make sure all work orders land within target dates and that multi‑trade jobs are booked correctly (right trades, right time, pre‑inspections when needed).
- Lead people & partners — coach, support and performance‑manage our administrators, operatives and sub‑contractors so everyone knows their targets and delivers.
- Champion quality & customer care — drive pre‑ and post‑repair inspections, routine quality checks and proactive communication that keeps customers informed.
- Grow capability — help onboard new colleagues, run regular competency checks and deliver toolbox talks/team meetings that build a high‑performing culture.
- Report & improve — produce weekly contract performance updates, investigate incomplete jobs, and contribute to monthly client performance reviews.
- Partner with the client — maintain a constructive, solutions‑led relationship with client reps, supporting performance reports in approved formats.
- Manage variations & complaints — handle variation requests correctly and resolve queries/complaints from staff, clients and customers.
- Put safety first — manage H&S across the contract in line with our Operating Framework; ensure PPE, vehicles, ID, and site standards are spot‑on.
- Support the commercials — keep a close eye on operating costs and productivity metrics, working with commercial colleagues to ensure the contract’s success.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven supervision experience in a repairs & maintenance environment (multi‑trade operations).
- Confidence leading teams and supply chain partners, with clear, timely communication.
- A track record of meeting KPIs, improving productivity and raising quality.
- Strong planning/scheduling instincts and the ability to solve problems quickly.
- Solid grasp of health & safety compliance and excellent stakeholder management.
