Project Quantity Surveyor
WPS is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of our reactive maintenance and voids contracts.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a growing team and play a key role in driving commercial performance across a fast‑paced social housing environment.
The role
You will be responsible for the commercial management of reactive maintenance and voids works, ensuring effective cost control, accurate forecasting and profitable contract delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Manage costs, forecasting, and commercial reporting across multiple workstreams.
- Procure, manage and value subcontractor packages.
- Measure and value works using Schedule of Rates (SOR) and PPP cost models.
- Prepare and agree valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Identify commercial risks, opportunities and cost‑saving initiatives.
- Support tender pricing, contract negotiations and operational teams.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements and commercial procedures.
- Monitor performance against contractual and financial KPIs.
About you
- Proven Quantity Surveying experience within Social Housing, Repairs & Maintenance, Property Services or FM.
- Strong knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates and reactive maintenance contracts.
- Experience working within high‑volume, fast‑paced environments.
- Good understanding of JCT contracts and commercial management principles.
- Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
