Wates Property Services (WPS) are looking for an experienced Kitchen & Bathroom Project Manager to join our Planned Maintenance team on a 6‑month fixed term contract. You will be responsible for managing the delivery of social housing kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard, while delivering an excellent service to residents and clients. This is an ideal opportunity for a strong Project Manager with planned maintenance or decent homes experience to support a busy and high‑profile programme across the Northampton area.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes within occupied social housing homes
  • Plan, programme and monitor works to ensure successful delivery against targets
  • Oversee site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners to ensure quality and productivity
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, regulatory and company standards
  • Control budgets, variations and cost reporting throughout the project lifecycle
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, residents and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure a smooth handover of completed works with zero defects and high customer satisfaction

About you

  • Proven experience managing planned maintenance projects, ideally kitchens and bathrooms
  • Background in social housing, decent homes or regeneration works
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and statutory compliance
  • Experience managing programmes, budgets and subcontractors
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working in occupied properties with a strong resident‑focused approach
  • Full UK driving licence
