Traffic Dispatcher in North London

WPRG have an opportunity for a Traffic Dispatcher to on a work on a temp to perm basis for our client based in North London (Edmonton).

Our client is one of the UKs leading waste management companies, with a rich history of over 100 years in delivering sustainable waste solutions to residents and commercial properties.

We are currently recruiting for a Traffic Dispatcher to join a busy and fast-paced team on a temporary-to-permanent basis through WPRG. After a successful 13-week period, the right candidate will be offered a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficiently plan and dispatch daily waste collection routes.

• Monitor and support drivers throughout the day, ensuring service levels are met.

• Communicate effectively with customers regarding service schedules and any issues.

• Use route planning and GPS systems to track and coordinate vehicle movements.

• Record and maintain up-to-date logs and reports.

• Ensure health, safety, and compliance standards are upheld at all times.

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in transport, logistics, or dispatch (preferably within waste management or similar industries).

• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.

• Confident communicator and team player.

• Able to remain calm under pressure and resolve issues promptly.

• Comfortable using dispatch software and Microsoft Office tools.
