A well-established early years nursery in Hendon is looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Room Leader to join their friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Early Years Practitioner ready to take the next step into a leadership role while continuing to deliver high-quality childcare and early education. As a Deputy Room Leader, you will support the Room Leader with the daily running of the nursery room, ensuring high standards of care, learning, and safeguarding. You will play a key role in delivering engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) while supporting colleagues and acting as a positive role model for children.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Room Leader with the day-to-day management of the nursery room
- Deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Provide high-quality early years education and childcare
- Support children's learning, development, and wellbeing
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery practice
- Assist with observations, planning, and assessments
- Step into the Room Leader role when required
- Minimum 2 years experience in a nursery or early years setting
- Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Experience supporting room leadership or senior practitioners
- Passion for early years education and childcare
