WPRG is recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner to join our client's highly successful and continuously growing organisation working on an ongoing basis for its clients in Harlow, Essex.
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 09:30-18:30, some weekend working is needed.
As a Transport Planner you will be responsible for planning routes, managing driver schedules, and liaising with customers and internal teams to ensure service levels are met. You'll play a vital role in keeping the transport operation running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Plan and optimise delivery routes
- Allocate work to drivers and vehicles
- Monitor transport performance and resolve issues as they arise
- Communicate with drivers, customers and warehouse teams
- Ensure compliance with transport legislation and company procedures
About you / Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Transport Planner
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Confident using transport planning systems and Excel
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- MUST have working knowledge of WTD & EU Drivers Hours
