Responsibilities
- Own the technical close process across multiple GAAPs, ensuring timely and accurate capture of financial information.
- Deliver accurate, timely management and financial information in compliance with IFRS and local reporting requirements.
- Produce monthly and quarterly Management Metrics Reports (MMRs).
- Perform monthly and quarterly financial reviews of technical results, including variance analysis versus plan and prior year.
- Own and explain technical results, including identification and investigation of unusual in-month movements.
- Prepare currency balance sheets as required.
- Produce country-by-country financial analysis for Group reporting.
Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant with relevant insurance experience required.
Required Skills
- Strong Insurance Technical Knowledge.
- Has led or played a significant role in the technical close of a general insurer (both live and run off scenarios).
- Good analytical and MI reporting skills.
- Ability to apply process improvement.
- Should have ability to manage communication with stakeholders/external auditors and to co-ordinate tasks between internal teams.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- High degree of organisation, task planning and time management.
- Familiar & capable of working with internal/external reporting deadlines in line with regulatory requirements.
