The Team

We are a team of 20+ people working on a mixture of exciting clients that include Audible, Danone, Colgate and Nationwide. The team are based at Wavemaker’s office in London UK. We’ve won some exciting pieces of business this year and we are looking to grow our display team with a focus on our programmatic self‑serve practice.

The Role

The Programmatic Account Manager will be responsible for the full campaign life cycle; in‑channel planning, managing set up, optimizing campaigns, ensuring delivery to Wavemaker standards, and ending in reporting the results directly to the client. Managing the execution of managed IO and self‑serve programmatic media activity, you will work closely with both the Programmatic Account Director and your Programmatic Account Executive (& in some cases the global hub teams).

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaign Management
    • Competently create innovative Display & Video media plans designed to achieve specified KPIs
    • Oversight of the implementation, management, and daily optimisation of campaign activity to ensure that you excel in reaching your client objectives and KPIs
    • Understand the products and solutions that could be relevant for clients that have been developed within the group
    • Take ownership of the testing plans of your clients and suggest innovative ideas for testing, including planning, executing & evaluating tests with methodical accuracy
    • Develop understanding of wider digital media mix to understand the role of display within it
  • Client and Partner Management
    • Direct client servicing exposure with regular contact via weekly calls, campaign briefings and presenting performance in detail
    • Complete client reporting and analyse campaign results extracting insight to provide recommendations for future activity
    • Develop strong relationships with media owners, tech partners and other service providers to select the most appropriate suppliers for campaigns
  • People Management
    • Working with your line manager to ensure the effective management of more junior team members and your direct reports in Delhi, ensuring workloads are sufficiently monitored & prioritized to ensure deadlines are met
    • Working with line manager and team leadership to help train and develop junior team members. Leading by example to motivate and encourage those with less experience
    • Strong working relationships with key stakeholders within the agency e.g., Ad operations team
    • Be an active member of the display team community, presenting in department meetings, sharing learnings, and participating in sprints to drive the collective knowledge base forward
  • Operational Excellence
    • The appropriate use of tools to drive accountability in programmatic buying, operational efficiencies, and actionable business insights, with the scoping of agreed client outputs
    • Ensure financial accuracy, integrating the planning and buying process and reconciliation of spends, via buying templates and processes
    • Support on the day‑to‑day QA process, minimizing errors and ensuring consistent and accurate adherence to process with both teams locally and in the Global Hub

Skills & Experience

  • Passionate about programmatic activation and driving continued excellence/innovation
  • Nice to have experience trading programmatic self‑serve within core trading platforms, DV360, TTD and Amazon
  • Ability to translate technical and complex points to non‑technical audiences and coach others to do the same
  • Management experience, teaching and developing a more junior team member
  • Analytically minded with an aptitude for handling large data sets to identify trends and actionable insights
  • Ability to develop and execute comprehensive testing roadmaps – audience, media, creative
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, will be particularly important in building & developing stakeholder relationships; internal, client and supplier
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people from all diverse backgrounds, cultures, countries
