Role Summary and Impact

We are seeking a skilled and proactive AV Manager to execute and optimize Audio-Visual media buying for our esteemed Google client account (MFG). In this role, you will be responsible for managing AV placements across various channels (TV, VOD, Radio, Cinema, Digital Video) across Google client product lines, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time, on budget and against agreed-upon KPIs. You will play a vital part in implementing innovative buying techniques, fostering effective media owner relationships and contributing to the creation of hyper-personalised and impactful media experiences that drive desire for our client’s luxury brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • AV Media Buying & Execution: Execute AV media buys across designated channels (Linear TV, VOD, Connected TV, Radio, Digital Audio, Cinema) based on approved media plans and strategies. Manage campaign pacing, delivery and performance, making real-time optimizations to ensure KPIs are met or exceeded. Ensure all AV placements adhere to client guidelines, creative specifications and industry best practices.
  • Budget Management & Reporting: Manage AV media budgets for assigned campaigns, accurately tracking spend and ensuring reconciliation with media owners. Prepare regular performance reports, analyzing data to identify trends, insights and optimization opportunities specific to AV channels. Present campaign results and key learnings to the AV Lead / Associate Director and internal teams. Work with the Finance team to ensure best practice in bookings and data management.
  • Negotiation & Relationship Management: Conduct negotiations with AV media owners and providers for specific campaigns, seeking to achieve optimal rates, inventory and value for our client. Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with AV media vendor representatives. Stay informed about market rates, inventory availability and new opportunities within the AV landscape.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal planning, digital performance, account management and creative teams to ensure seamless campaign activation and integrated media solutions. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders on campaign status, performance and any issues that arise. Provide support and guidance to junior AV team members as needed. Ensure ongoing MMM data integrity and budget consistency across media channels.
  • Process & Best Practices: Adhere to all WPP Media internal processes, financial procedures and client service standards related to AV buying. Contribute to the continuous improvement of AV media buying processes and adoption of industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in AV media buying or a similar role within a media agency.
  • Proven experience in executing and optimizing media campaigns across key AV channels (e.g. Linear TV, VOD, Connected TV, Radio, Cinema, Digital Audio/Video).
  • Strong understanding of AV media metrics, buying models and campaign performance analysis.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to build rapport with media owners.
  • Proficiency in relevant AV buying platforms and tools (e.g. Medialink, BARB, RAJAR data systems).
  • Excellent analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in managing budgets and data.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting information clearly and accurately.
  • Highly organized, proactive and able to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
