Implementation Director – MM&D

Essence Mediacom, part of WPP, is a new breed of media agency.

We are looking for an Implementation Director to oversee media planning for several clients, including Flutter Group, Tesco and BT.

The role centres around ensuring we deliver industry‑leading implementation recommendations, founded in insight, to deliver business results and forge deeper client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee media planning for clients such as Flutter Group, Tesco and BT.
  • Ensure the communications brief is fit for purpose and ties back to measurable outcomes.
  • Translate strategy into implementation recommendations and maintain alignment to the media‑buying approach.
  • Lead the Implementation planning output of the team and support new‑business acquisition.
  • Collaborate with the Implementation Partner within the Implementation Leadership team to refine and improve products.

Qualifications

  • Extensive media‑planning experience with a proven track record delivering industry‑leading media solutions.
  • Experience running a large team and managing development.
  • Commercial mindset aligning decisions with agency objectives.
  • Deep understanding of media planning across brand and response.
  • Ability to influence senior and demanding clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with industry media‑planning tools.
  • Proactive relationship‑building with media owners to create innovation opportunities.
