What does
Senior Project Manager [12mth FTC Mat Cover ] do at WPP Production?
Responsible for the coordination, adaptation and implementation of the production process from brief through to final production phases.
Our Senior Project Managers are super-organised and adept multi-taskers.
Supporting The Project Management lead, Team Leads (when applicable), and Project Managers in efficient running of accounts and the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting lines and key stakeholders
- This role reports to the Print Project Management Lead (if no Team Lead is in place).
- You will work closely with internal stakeholders (e. g. Production studio/Client service), and external stakeholders (e. g. creative agencies, clients and technical third party).
Key Responsibilities (to include, but not limited to)
- Manage projects from start to finish (e. g. dissecting initial brief, writing brief, managing feedback and delivery, in relation to jobs, projects and campaigns.
Ability to manage all stages.
- Support the Project Managers with the more complex/bespoke campaigns and on any account tasks when required.
- Accountable as the project owner.
- First point of escalation for the Project Manager within the team, when there are issues/queries to resolve and for internal/external stakeholders.
- First point of contact for internal resource queries or support.
- Operational
- Champion new/better ways of working (e. g. Workflow) by implementing process, efficiencies and structure.
- Champion new technologies, being prepared to support implementation or change.
- Support onboarding news brands and/or clients.
- Support Account transitions to different global studios (e. g offshoring).
- Create and update workflow documentation.
- Create and update reporting documentation when required.
- Create and update supporting documentation (e. g. training document) and ensure this is maintain in a centralised place.
- Support the Print Project Management Lead and/or Team Lead on any set tasks
- Manage other adhoc requests as and when required.
- Communication
- Mentor, support and train colleagues, new starters and freelance resource.
- Key person liaising with internal stakeholders
- Point of contact for HWW hubs and external stakeholders/third parties
- In addition to the Print Project Management lead and/or Team Lead, day to day support contact for Global Studio
- Leading all calls with internal and external stakeholders when required.
- Finance
- Estimating projects and individual jobs plus reconciliations
- Manage finance from, job creation, estimating, budgeting, revenue recognition & billing, raising PO’s, all as required.
- Overseeing SOX & Revenue reports as applicable
- Initiate and oversee billing if required.
- Overseeing update finance trackers and reporting tracker as applicable
- Tools
- Use of internal production tools such as workflow management, job management systems, trackers and finance and reporting tools.
- Use of external project management tools, (For example, Smartsheet's, Monday, Miro Board, etc) where applicable
Requirements
- Technical understanding and competency of ‘Static production’ (e. g.
Press, OOH, POS, Shopper, Brochures, Literature, Social, Digital and Presentations) in relation to Creative, Retouching, Mastering and Adaptation & Localisation.
- Proven experience of working in a Static Production project management role (5 years +)
- High level of IT literacy, including use of Acrobat, Office 365 (e. g: Microsoft excel, Microsoft PPT, Microsoft word, Microsoft outlook, Microsoft teams…)
- Strong numeracy skills (e. g. excel formular, cost estimate in excel)
- Resilience and ability to work under pressure (e. g. time management and attention to detail, plan and prioritise your own work & support others to prioritize their own workload).
- Problem solving skills (e. g. identify challenges and giving solutions)
- Experience of managing and servicing international accounts in multiple markets with multiple stakeholder’s desirable
- Excellent prioritisation, time management and attention to detail.
- Proactive, decision-making ability.
- Resilience to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent oral and written English essential, other languages desirable
- Good spoken and written communication skills
