What does a Midweight Designer do at WPP Production? As a Midweight Graphic Designer at WPP Production, you will play a key role in creating and delivering high-quality design projects across print, digital, and motion platforms. This position is ideal for a designer with solid creative instincts and technical expertise, capable of producing work that aligns with brand identities while meeting client expectations.

You’ll be expected to balance creativity with practicality, ensuring designs are visually engaging and effective in achieving project goals. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and fellow creatives to produce polished designs that demonstrate attention to detail and innovative problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creative Design & Execution: Work on design briefs, conceptualizing and delivering creative solutions across a variety of projects, including marketing collateral, branding, social media, print assets, motion graphics, and presentations.
  • Concept Development & Innovation: Contribute to campaign ideation by bringing fresh, innovative ideas that align with brand strategies.
  • Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and translate them into effective design solutions.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with senior designers, art directors, writers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.
  • Project Management & Organisation: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Brand Consistency & Quality Control: Ensure all designs align with brand guidelines and visual identity standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.) and other relevant design tools.
  • Attention to Detail & Craftsmanship: Maintain a keen eye for detail throughout the design process.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Communicate effectively with team members and clients, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Strong portfolio showcasing diverse design projects.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro, After Effects) and other relevant design tools.
  • Good skills in motion graphics and animation.
  • Solid understanding of layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and conceptual thinking.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to articulate design concepts effectively.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with team members and clients.
  • Confidence in presenting creative concepts and explaining design rationale clearly.
