What does a Producer do at WPP Production?

This role will involve running several stills/moving image shoots from brief through to delivery. You will focus on creating the best‑in‑class content for various platforms, building direct‑to‑client and production‑agency relationships, ensuring that expectations are managed and delivered, while working closely with the rest of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day to Day creative development, pre-prod, prod and post across projects
  • Develop long‑lasting and trusted relationships with the agency, including creatives, direct clients, third‑party vendors and wider WPP Production team
  • Estimate, schedule and run projects from inception to delivery
  • Attending shoots, making sure that the assigned projects are produced to a high creative standard
  • Keeping track of projects making sure they are all delivered on time and within the agreed budget
  • Maintain constant communication with the rest of the content team
  • Be responsible for checking that all material needed to undertake a job has been requested and is on the system in the correct place
  • Suggest new ways to increase client satisfaction and deepen client relationships
  • Encourage and explore new avenues of potential work through to delivery

Reporting lines and key stakeholders

You will report to the Executive Producer and work with creatives, photographers, stylists, shooting directors and post‑production to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard. You will focus on building relationships internally and externally, executing a thoughtful workflow, producing to the highest standard, whilst ensuring that expectations are managed and delivered.

Requirements

  • Experience within a production department
  • Experience managing crew members on set and having a strong understanding of each role
  • Knowledge of both content (stills and moving image) production and post‑production workflows
  • Knowledge of both TVC delivery and social delivery
  • Understanding of emerging technologies such as virtual production and AI
  • Support and solicit input from team members at all levels
  • Develop lasting client relationships
