What does a HR Advisor do at WPP Production?

The HR Advisor provides expert employee relations guidance and leads on projects to support the UK WPP Production team. This is a unique role that will allow the right candidate to support a variety of functions and responsibilities, acting as a critical support to the HR Business Partners in navigating complex HR challenges impacting our employees and business.

You will proactively deliver pragmatic, creative and business-focused HR advice and solutions across WPP Production, building and developing strong, influential relationships with managers and staff at all levels. You will act as a trusted advisor, provide support and share best practices on a range of HR matters and drive people initiatives throughout the business.

This role reports to a HR Business Partner and works closely with the HR Business Partners and HR Coordinators, often guiding the latter, in supporting the wider WPP Production population in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively build and maintain effective working relationships with line managers, business leaders and other key stakeholders.
  • Advise, guide and coach both employees and managers on complex employee relations and employee life cycle matters ensuring that all issues are dealt with in good time, sensitively and appropriately.
  • Support and guide line managers, building their competence and confidence to enable them to effectively manage their teams and the business.
  • Work in partnership with the HR Business Partner and operational management teams to proactively identify opportunities to implement people initiatives that support performance improvement in line with business needs.
  • Remain up to date with HR best practice both generally and in relevant business sectors.
  • Support the wider HR Team in the review of existing people policies and processes.
