What does a Client Partner Lead do at WPP Production? As a Client Partner Lead at WPP Production Health Studios, you are a critical leader responsible for both driving the successful delivery of complex production programs for a dedicated therapeutic area or client portfolio and mentoring a high-performing team of Client Partners. You will oversee the high-volume execution of content and production deliverables, maintaining robust relationships with key client stakeholders and agency partners (mid-to-senior level). You will be accountable for achieving operational excellence, ensuring successful high-quality project delivery, and fostering organic growth within your assigned accounts.

This role demands a blend of strong team leadership, industry expertise, and a keen ability to deliver high-quality, compliant content in a fast-paced environment, often stepping in for direct project oversight on highly critical or complex initiatives. More importantly, you are a trusted client advisor — managing their expectations, informing them of progress, and developing recommendations that help them meet their executional and strategic goals.

The Client Partner Lead will primarily sit on-site with the team/clients in Titusville, NJ and/or Horsham, PA. 2-3 days a week onsite required.

Responsibilities

  • Client Partnership: Cultivate and maintain robust, trusted relationships with key client stakeholders (e.g., Project Owners, Brand Managers, Marketing Directors) and their agency partners, acting as the primary point of contact for day-to-day strategic and operational needs. Champion the client's business needs, aligning WPP Production's solutions with their tactical priorities and long-term goals. Serve as the first point of escalation for complex project challenges or client satisfaction issues, proactively driving diplomatic and effective solutions. Proactively identify and nurture organic growth opportunities within assigned accounts and therapeutic areas, ensuring WPP Production remains an integral partner.
  • Delivery & Operational Excellence: Oversee the successful coordination and execution of multiple, high-volume production projects (digital, print, video, social, etc.) within the designated therapeutic area, ensuring timely delivery of priority tactics. Provide hands-on management and direct oversight for highly complex, critical, or priority projects as needed, guaranteeing their successful and timely completion. Drive accountability and help ensure executional excellence and stringent quality assurance across all deliverables, collaborating effectively with offshore and internal teams. Maintain fiscal responsibility for all projects under your team's purview, overseeing budget management, providing accurate financial updates, and collaborating on monthly forecasting inputs.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Oversee team activities, assist with workload delegation, and provide regular feedback to ensure optimal team performance and successful project delivery. Guide the team in adhering to established processes and best practices, encouraging resilience and adaptability amidst evolving client and production demands. Lead and mentor a team of Client Partners, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and solution-oriented thinking.

Who You Are

  • A Proactive Problem-Solver: You anticipate challenges, devise effective solutions, and know when to escalate issues for optimal course correction.
  • A Collaborative Leader: You foster an encouraging and comfortable team environment, guiding adherence to best practices while promoting adaptability.
  • Optimistic & Resilient: You possess the grit to navigate complex situations, maintaining a positive outlook and inspiring your team.
  • Ego-less & Supportive: You're ready to contribute wherever needed, prioritising team success and client satisfaction above all.
  • A Strategic Thinker: You have a growing understanding of the bigger picture for client strategic priorities, aligning outcomes with client business objectives and identifying future opportunities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 6+ years of progressive client-facing account and/or project/delivery management experience in advertising or marketing communications, with at least 4 years focused on managing digital and 360 campaigns (digital, print, video, social, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with multi-disciplinary teams (CX, UX, Tech, Creative, PM/AM) across remote offices.
  • Strong understanding of design, development, and production processes for omnichannel delivery (website, print, email, social media, video).
  • Self-driven with proven experience working with cross-functional client stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams (CX, UX, Tech, Creative, PM/AM) across remote offices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High Emotional Intelligence (EQ) with the ability to understand and motivate team members.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products.
  • Availability to travel to the Titusville, NJ or Horsham, PA Offices on a 2-3 times a week on a hybrid schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pharmaceutical Focus (Desired): Familiarity with the complexities and regulations within pharma marketing content and its production, including an understanding of pharmaceutical review submissions, is a significant plus.
  • Technical Acumen: Good understanding of design, development, and production for omnichannel delivery, including web standards, user-centered design, optimisation, and search practices.
