Amazon is the world’s biggest advertiser and a flagship account for WPP. As a Senior Strategy Executive working on Amazon XCM (Cross‑channel marketing) you will be one of the experts behind data‑driven campaign strategies, helping to develop strategic campaign narratives and channel roles, and working closely with our 12 local market teams to formulate recommendations for the leading global online retailer. This role does not require previous pure strategy experience – it will suit junior analytical comms planners who are interested in stepping up and moving into their first strategy role.
Responsibilities
- Design holistic, data‑driven campaign strategies by providing insights into consumers and previous campaigns.
- Act as a key strategic contact, advising the client on optimal media channel use and communicating complex relationships in workshops and presentations.
- Analyse and synthesise a wide range of data sources—from market and competitive data to brand measurement reports—to derive clear strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
- Communications planning skills: some experience developing integrated upper‑funnel media strategies and a cross‑channel understanding of the media landscape.
- Analytical skills: experience using multiple data sources, Excel or Google Sheets, and planning tools to develop strategic recommendations.
- Communication skills: excellent storytelling in English and the ability to write clear arguments in written form.
- Client expertise: confident demeanor, advising clients at a strategic level and answering questions around recommendations.
- Independent work: proactive, flexible and reliable work style, efficiently managing projects and bringing them to successful conclusion.
- International experience: not required as specialists cover all 12 European countries.
