Role Summary and Impact
The Product Designer is a mid-level role responsible for independently contributing to the design of user-centric, scalable, and accessible digital products. Reporting to the Director, Product Design, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality design solutions while also mentoring junior designers and contributing to team success.
Design
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to design user-centric products , ensuring they meet high standards of usability, accessibility, and visual coherence.
- Iterate on designs based on feedback from usability testing, analytics, and stakeholder input.
- Work within the WPP Design System to ensure consistency and scalability across products.
- Contribute to the delivery of polished, production-ready designs that meet accessibility and usability standards.
Team Contribution
- Actively participate in design reviews, offering constructive feedback to elevate the quality of the team’s work.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, contributing to a strong design culture.
Process & Design Systems
- Adhere to established design processes to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
- Ensure consistency across all product designs by advocating for and adopting the WPP Design System.
- Ensure designs are implemented accurately and consistently by collaborating with engineers during development.
User Research & Insights
- Utilize qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions and improve user experiences.
- Advocate for data-driven design, ensuring research findings translate into actionable improvements.
- Collaborate with design researcher and data analysts to gather user insights and validate design decisions.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align design efforts with product roadmaps and business objectives.
- Present design concepts and rationale to peers and stakeholders, clearly articulating the \”why\” behind your decisions.
- Seek and incorporate feedback from designers, product managers, and engineers to refine and improve solutions.

- Experience in user research, UX research, or product design research.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including research design, sampling, facilitation, analysis, and communication.
- Experience in UX/UI design, including the ability to contribute to wireframes, prototypes, and design QA processes.
- Proven experience leading and managing research teams, with a track record of fostering collaboration and growth.
- Experience with research tools such as UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, and Hotjar.
- Ability to work with data analytics tools such as Google Analytics to extract insights. Experience with Pendo is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills to translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- A user-centred mindset with a passion for improving digital experiences.
- Strong communication and collaboration capabilities, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A highly organized and detail-oriented approach, with a focus on research rigor and quality.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, able to identify and address potential challenges in the research process.
- Experience as a mentor and educator, passionate about sharing your knowledge and empowering others.
- Past exposure to fast-paced working environments, with an ability to adapt to changing priorities.
