Role Summary

The Manager – Organic Performance leads day‑to‑day delivery of high‑quality SEO work for client accounts, ensuring world‑class client service and strong relationships. They own the operational execution of SEO strategy, integrate AI and generative search insights, and collaborate closely with the Organic Performance Director.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main client contact for SEO strategy delivery, demonstrating proactive, enterprising attitude and adapting to generative search trends.
  • Understand client business, brand, sector, and competitors, and translate how AI/LLMs influence market and consumer behaviour.
  • Manage client requests, deliver on time and exceed expectations, while managing context of evolving search technology.
  • Prepare and deliver regular status meetings and reports, analysing generative search performance and AI‑driven optimisations.
  • Lead client SEO work: advanced on‑site optimisation, technical audits (including AI indexing opportunities), and reporting of AI/LLM impact.
  • Work with the Director to develop short, medium and long‑term strategies capitalising on AI and generative search capabilities.
  • Integrate AI‑powered tools and LLMs into daily SEO workflows, ensuring responsible and effective use for keyword research, competitive analysis, and forecasting.
  • Contribute AI‑in‑search expertise to clients and internal teams, providing strategic guidance and training.

Qualifications & Skills

  • SEO strategy and project management experience; independently manage deliverables and deliver industry‑leading quality.
  • Strong application of campaign best practices and escalation of issues.
  • Ownership of projects from start to completion, maintaining accurate pipeline and campaign information across key systems.
  • Accurate reporting with actionable insights; proficiency in Google Analytics, Search Console, and performance dashboards.
  • Commercial acumen: manage finances, budgets, ROI, and cost‑effectiveness of AI/LLM integration.
  • Data analysis: devise new methods, analyse data, and communicate findings on AI influence.
  • Tool proficiency: advanced understanding of AI‑powered keyword research, content generation, technical SEO, monitoring, analytics, and automation tools.
  • Practice area knowledge: expertise in industry terminology, KPIs, and application of AI technologies.
  • Problem solving: critical questioning, proposing innovative solutions, and supporting escalation.
  • Stakeholder relationships: build relations with key decision makers, propose AI‑driven solutions, align with business goals.
  • Effective communication: translate complex AI and search concepts into clear, actionable narratives for technical and non‑technical audiences.
