Organic Performance Executive Role Summary and Impact

The role of the Organic Performance Account Executive is to efficiently deliver high quality SEO work on behalf of their clients with the support of the Organic Performance Manager. The executive is the day-to-day client contact on allocated areas and is responsible for maintaining Wavemaker’s world-class client service that creates strong relationships with our brands. Candidates should have experience in organic search and online marketing, supported by an understanding of campaign and digital content marketing.

In this role, you will:

  • Demonstrate an enterprising and pro-active attitude to all client dealings.
  • Represent your client’s interests in Wavemaker.
  • Ensure all client requests are met and surpassed in a timely, professional and efficient manner, with client expectation managed effectively.
  • Produce contact reports following all meetings and key phone/conference calls.
  • Support the team to ensure that client KPI’s and objectives are met.
  • Work with the Organic Performance Manager to research and prepare background information for briefs/presentations/pitches.
  • Deliver SEO projects for clients including keyword research, on-site and technical audits and reporting, all in a timely and efficient manner.

Skills and Experience

  • SEO Strategy and Project Management: Manages with support the implementation of campaigns/projects, including setup, optimization, and reporting, to deliver high-quality and accurate outcomes. Demonstrates an understanding of the elements of SEO and applies those best practices to assigned client accounts. Delivers accurate reports with basic insights and recommendations.
  • Commercial Acumen: Has a clear understanding of how finance works and how GroupM makes a profit. Has completed all mandatory GroupM finance training. Demonstrates a growing understanding of the financial impact of decisions/solutions to drive projects and analyses that support the organization’s mission. Understands GroupM’s trading strategies and processes.
  • Data Analysis: Learns and uses methods for collecting data, performs data analyses and articulates findings. Is analytically minded, with the ability to identify trends and patterns within data sets. Follows guidelines and applies judgement to assess the quality of data and ensure conclusions have integrity. Analyses client and performance data from multiple sources and builds outcome models.
  • Tools Proficiency: Understands the full array of the company’s offerings specific to areas of expertise, applies this knowledge to meet the needs of the customer and the business. Builds a working knowledge of relevant proprietary and 3rd party products, technologies, offerings, including but not limited to research tools, automation tools, technical analysis tools, as well as internal benchmarking tools.
  • Practice Area Knowledge: Develops an awareness and curiosity of industry and specific practice area, including trends and challenges or concepts. Researches industry and practice area information and summarises findings.
  • Problem Solving: Asks questions and performs routine or basic analysis to define problems. Generates some solutions in own area of work and suggests additional sources of information to further investigate problems.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Has a good understanding of how the agency operates and works with their clients. Knows about the client’s business and who the key decision makers are there.
  • Effective Communication: Seeks relevant information to ensure own understanding of complex information. Assists team members in the creation of routine communication materials (e.g., policies & procedures, guidelines, presentations, messages).
