The Role: We’re seeking a Retail Media / Commerce Manager to come and join the growing community in WPP’s Commerce Practice. We’re looking for an individual to support key client accounts across Amazon Sponsored Ads, CitrusAd and Criteo. The Manager, Commerce Activation role will have a deep interest and appreciation for the uniqueness of retail and marketplaces, and use their retail expertise to deliver excellence in biddable retail media channels: search and onsite display. They will ensure seamless integration of performance-led retail media efforts into a holistic commerce strategy, delivering best-in-class results for clients.
This role will work as a member of a cross‑functional team and inform, shape, and implement the most advanced performance‑led strategies and solutions to unlock new growth opportunities across retail media ad ecosystems, for a group of our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively run best practice compliant campaigns, ensuring ongoing and timely optimisation is delivered and constantly looking for opportunities to improve performance.
- Take ownership of some of the elements of the testing plan, suggesting new ideas, planning, executing and evaluating tests with methodical accuracy.
- Ensure that wider client or team deliverables (such as performance commentary and weekly reporting) are prepared, working with other team members on delivery of this information, and ensuring quality of output is maintained.
- Collaborate with and support other team members in the implementation, optimisation and management of client campaigns.
- Interact effectively within your client team, and with the client and suppliers, building solid external working relationships and establishing rapport.
- Conduct performance analysis, internal data maintenance, issue identification and solution development.
- Support on the day‑to‑day process across activation, minimising error and risk, and ensuring consistent and accurate adherence to established processes.
- Identify gaps in achievement of goals, objectives and/or processes, and work with the line manager to improve performance and drive efficiencies.
- Deliver responses with data and evidence led insights, ambitious innovation opportunities to push things forward.
Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrable eCommerce knowledge and interest in Retail Media Platform certifications (e.g Amazon Advertising, Tesco Media) are a plus.
- Self‑motivated and able to manage their and their supporting team members’ time effectively.
