Role Summary and Impact: You will be part of the Organic Performance team, which helps clients improve performance and user experience across their digital assets via organic (non-paid) channels like organic search (SEO), content optimization, and integrated search. Our team comprises experts who specialise in a range of disciplines within Organic Performance. With such an experienced team working with you day to day, you will receive plenty of opportunities to learn and upskill yourself outside of your direct remit. Our team spends a lot of time and effort driving innovation, particularly with the creation of custom dashboards and leveraging AI tools in our day-to-day. Key Responsibilities:
- Execute SEO strategy by understanding the client's products, competition, industry landscape, marketing goals and objectives.
- Manage workflow of organic search related tasks for clients and have detailed knowledge of the status of client roadmaps and requirements.
- Ensure strong project management skills and delivery against deadlines. Ability to multitask are must-haves.
- Attend client and agency meetings to present deliverables, SEO strategies results, and tactics.
- Monitor, track and evaluate SEO performance based on client KPI targets (SEO traffic, rankings, conversions, technical SEO score, etc.).
- Review and analyse competitor sites and understand their organic search approach.
- Perform keyword research, grouping keywords into logical themes and prioritising them based on search volume, intent and relevance to your client's website.
- Perform gap analysis, research on the website's niche, trending topics and competitors to deliver content ideas to be put into production.
- Optimise key on-page elements of a website, including Metadata, heading tags, URLs, alt attributes, etc.
- Perform audits of the technical factors affecting search engine optimisation (crawling, indexing, duplication, structured data, core web vitals etc.).
- Produce insightful and comprehensive technical recommendations.
- Analyse regular crawls to assess site health and identify opportunities.
- Work with other members of the Organic Performance team to develop knowledge and understanding of Organic Search, Content Marketing, etc.
- Work closely with the Paid Search team to execute integrated search strategy.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and discuss potential impact with team on client work.
Skills and Experience:
- Some experience doing SEO in a digital media agency or in-house.
- Experience working with various teams.
- Experience with audience research and SEO tools (Keyword Planner, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Ahrefs, etc.).
- Literate in AI tools for SEO and marketing.
- Experience in data analytics and in manipulating large datasets and being in a numbers-driven position.
- Understanding of paid media (i.e. PPC/Social/Display) is desirable but not essential.
- Organisational, time management, multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritise work.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills (including presentation skills).
- Ability to work autonomously and to meet a deadline.
- Willingness to keep up to date with Google's algorithm changes.
- Curious and always looking to learn more.
- Adaptable and able to flex with changes in prioritisation to meet new or changed goals.
