Role Summary and Impact
Drive the commercial success of multi-million-dollar international contracts for some of the world's most recognisable brands. As a Commercial Manager in the Global Commercial team at WPP Media, you will be involved in complex negotiations, build strong client relationships, and contribute to revenue growth while ensuring contract compliance and maximising profitability. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in the commercial management of and negotiations with existing and potential new clients. You will have the opportunity to manage your own client portfolio and partner with Commercial Directors on complex negotiations, gaining valuable experience and developing your commercial expertise.
Commercial Management & Reporting
- Manage accurate and timely client and internal reporting, including revenue, profitability, and contract compliance.
- Analyse financial performance, identify opportunities for optimisation, and provide insightful reporting to key internal stakeholders.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders.
- Proactively manage client communication, building strong relationships and ensuring alignment with Agency objectives.
Business Growth & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with key client contract terms by liaising with our local markets.
- Support client contract compliance audits, collaborating with our internal client compliance team to provide necessary documentation where required.
- Develop and present compelling commercial proposals that meet client needs and drive revenue growth.
Skills and Experience
- Strong financial acumen including analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to navigate challenging conversations e.g., with client procurement.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with ownership over assignments.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Proactive problem-solver with continuous improvement mindset.
- Practical experience in Commercial, Accounting, Finance, International Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in commercial-related fields, client finance, media, or business affairs.
- Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying contract terms in a client-facing role would be an advantage.
- Proficiency in Excel.
