Role Summary and Impact Global Growth & Operations brings together growth, transformation, and operational excellence to shape the future of how WPP Media partners with its most important clients. The team works across global accounts and markets to define best practice, embed new ways of working, and activate the full strength of the WPP network to drive sustainable growth, stronger relationships, and long-term client value. The Project Manager – Client Development supports the delivery of client development projects and programmes across a defined set of priority clients. The role helps ensure that planning, governance and follow-through are well coordinated, with clear actions, timelines and ownership in place. This role works closely with Client Development Leads to coordinate delivery across retention activity, pre-review planning, workshops and cross-functional initiatives. It is focused on strong execution, helping teams stay organised, aligned and on track while escalating risks and issues where needed. The role combines project coordination, operational discipline and stakeholder support, helping the Client Development team deliver consistently across multiple workstreams.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate project delivery and governance across a defined set of client development initiatives.
  • Support Client Development Leads in planning and delivering retention activity, pre-review preparation and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain project plans, timelines, trackers and action logs to keep workstreams organised and on schedule.
  • Coordinate stakeholders across teams, markets and capabilities to support delivery of agreed plans.
  • Prepare materials and support logistics for client growth workshops, internal working sessions and review meetings.
  • Track actions, risks, dependencies and next steps, escalating issues to senior leads when appropriate.
  • Support the day-to-day running of governance rhythms, including meeting preparation, follow-up and status reporting.
  • Use established templates, tools and processes to support consistent delivery across projects and workstreams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve coordination, tracking and execution within the team.
  • Help create clarity and momentum by ensuring actions are captured, communicated and followed through.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE You are likely to bring:

  • Experience in project coordination, programme delivery, operations, PMO or client service environments.
  • Strong organisational and delivery management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience coordinating projects or workstreams involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in client-facing, commercial or transformation-related environments.
  • Ability to translate objectives into clear plans, actions and follow-up.
  • Strong attention to detail and a reliable approach to execution.
  • Experience supporting workshops, governance meetings, client reviews or project delivery activity would be helpful.
  • Confidence working with a range of stakeholders and maintaining clear communication.
  • Comfort using trackers, templates and team processes to support effective delivery.
