We are a team of approximately 17 people, split across onshore and offshore, working on a broad mix of clients including Petplan, LV, Allianz Engineering, The Observer, First Group (Avanti West Coast, GWR and SWR), KFC, Liquid IV, M&S, Mazda, TNZ, Unilever and YBS.
We are now looking for a new Paid Search Account Manager to come and join the growing Paid Search team based in London, working on the Petplan account.
As a Paid Search Account Manager, you will be responsible for owning the day to day execution of all elements of paid search activity on Petplan, employing strong platform knowledge and supplier relationships to deliver flawless testing, media plans, optimisation and analysis. Petplan is the UK's leading pet insurer, and search is a critical channel for reaching pet owners at the moment they are looking for cover, so your work has a direct line to business performance.
While the focus is Petplan only, you will also lend support to the wider Allianz account when required, acting as a key point of contact across those teams.
Campaign Management
- Effectively manage your and your team's designated search accounts, ensuring ongoing and timely optimisation is delivered.
- Take responsibility for wider client or team deliverables (such as performance commentary or weekly reporting) and guide more junior team members in how this can be effectively achieved.
Client and Partner Management
- Develop strong relationships with your client and key suppliers, leading team communications with these stakeholders.
- Foster a good working relationship across all client teams to facilitate flawless execution of plans, building rapport to become a trusted advisor.
- Have strong knowledge of the pet insurance and wider financial services sector, shared to build strategies and plans.
- Identify strategic issues and raise questions to help stakeholders explore and understand their wider business challenges.
People Management
- Delegate and manage workloads across the junior members of the team, including offshore colleagues where required, while supporting and educating planning teams on the benefits and purpose of paid search.
- Assist with the recruitment process for the immediate and wider team when required.
- Contribute to the development of strategic revenue and services opportunities.
Paid Search expertise with current dated certifications, and excellent knowledge of bid management, core PPC technology platforms, data analysis, and understanding of the strategic and tactical application of paid search and digital marketing in general.
Hands on experience across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, with strong working knowledge of SA360 for bid management and reporting, and Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio) for building clear, actionable dashboards.
Confident planning and running newer campaign types such as Demand Gen and YouTube, and comfortable applying them to drive both performance and reach.
An understanding of holistic search, working closely with organic and SEO teams to align activity and deliver the best combined outcomes on the SERP.
Lead and promote continuous innovation, and test and learn opportunities for the team and clients.
Create a positive climate to drive team performance while motivating others to strive for continuous improvement.
