Role Summary and Impact

This role is within The Goat Agency, a leading brand within WPP Media, where you will be instrumental in helping global brands harness the power of social and creator-led content to deliver measurable impact. Recognised as a global leader in the space, we deliver award-winning campaigns in more than 70 countries. With over 650 social natives worldwide, we create ambitious influencer programmes from tactical activations to long-term partnerships, designed to drive awareness, engagement and conversions across the full marketing funnel.

Role Overview:

The Influencer Director (Goat), Europe, serves as a critical strategic and operational partner to the Head of EMEA, serving as a key strategic and operational enabler in overseeing and developing the European market. This role is instrumental in supporting the execution of regional strategy, driving key projects, and ensuring local market leads are equipped for success. You will contribute significantly to maintaining operational excellence, fostering strong relationships, and enabling the successful delivery of results across Goat’s European presence. While an individual contributor role, it requires a high degree of autonomy in project management and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Support & Operational Enablement: Act as the primary support to Goat EMEA leadership in translating regional objectives into actionable plans and ensuring their successful execution. Assist in the development and implementation of regional strategies, processes, and best practices to drive market growth and operational efficiency. Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and analyses for Goat EMEA leadership, providing data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making. Represent Goat EMEA leadership in internal meetings and discussions as required, providing updates and ensuring alignment.
  • Project Leadership & Execution: Take ownership of, and lead, key strategic projects and initiatives across the European markets, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs. Manage project scopes, timelines, resources, and stakeholder communications for assigned initiatives, proactively identifying and mitigating risks. Collaborate closely with local market leads, global teams (e.g., Growth, Group Solutions, Campaign Delivery), and external partners to ensure seamless project integration and successful outcomes. Troubleshoot operational challenges within projects and support the Head of EMEA in resolving broader market-specific issues, proposing effective and efficient solutions.
  • Relationship & Stakeholder Coordination: Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with local market leads, key internal stakeholders across Goat, and WPP Media colleagues, facilitating collaboration and clear communication. Serve as a central point of contact for various internal teams seeking input or guidance on European market initiatives, escalating to Goat EMEA leadership as necessary. Support Goat EMEA leadership in fostering a cohesive and high-performance culture by coordinating internal communications and sharing best practices across European teams.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Senior Project & Operational Management Experience: Proven track record (typically 5+ years) in a senior project management, operational support, or strategic coordination role within a digital marketing, advertising, or influencer marketing agency, with significant exposure to European markets.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with senior leadership as a trusted strategic and operational enabler, supporting strategic initiatives and driving execution through influence and collaboration rather than direct authority.
  • Exceptional Organizational & Problem-Solving Skills: Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing multiple complex projects concurrently and adept at identifying, analysing, and solving operational challenges.
  • Strong Communication & Presentation Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly, prepare compelling presentations, and effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic Acumen: Ability to understand high-level strategic objectives and translate them into actionable plans, contributing insightful perspectives to regional discussions.
  • Market & Ecosystem Knowledge: Familiarity with the European media, marketing, and creator economy landscape, and an understanding of agency operations and dynamics within the WPP network.
  • Proactive & Self-Directed: A highly motivated self-starter who can work autonomously, take initiative, and consistently deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
