The Community & Adoption Lead is accountable for driving sustained adoption of AI across WPP by building and scaling the engagement ecosystem that enables colleagues to successfully adopt and embed AI into their daily work. This role will own the community strategy, champion network, executive enablement programmes, communications cadence and long-term adoption model. As Enterprise AI transitions from programme delivery into business-as-usual operations, this individual will become the enduring owner of the adoption and engagement agenda across WPP. Working alongside the Senior Change & Adoption Lead, the role focuses on activation, engagement and behavioural adoption at scale, ensuring that employees, communities and leaders are equipped to realise the value of AI.
What you’ll be doing:
- Community Strategy & Governance: Define and implement WPP’s enterprise AI community strategy. Establish and govern AI communities across business units and geographies. Create a consolidated view of community performance, engagement and health. Lead the ongoing evolution of the AI community operating model and adoption ecosystem. Partner with technology and platform teams to maximise adoption while optimising operating costs.
- Champion Network Leadership: Build, grow and sustain WPP’s AI Champion network globally. Develop progression pathways, recognition programmes and engagement initiatives for champions. Foster collaboration across functions, markets and disciplines. Create scalable frameworks that support long-term community-led adoption.
- Executive AI Enablement: Design and deliver executive AI enablement programmes. Provide senior leader coaching and support. Drive visible leadership engagement and role modelling of AI usage. Establish structured adoption pathways that help leaders accelerate business value through AI.
- Communications & Engagement: Own the enterprise engagement rhythm for AI adoption. Lead delivery of community communications, campaigns, newsletters, showcases and learning events. Curate and promote success stories, use cases and measurable business outcomes. Ensure consistent messaging and engagement across all AI initiatives.
- Operating Model & Continuous Adoption: Develop and implement the long-term adoption model for Enterprise AI. Embed AI capability into onboarding, career development and everyday business processes. Drive sustainable behaviour change that enables AI adoption at scale. Support responsible AI adoption and employee understanding of available AI tools and platforms.
- Stakeholder Leadership: Partner closely with Change Management, Communications, Enterprise AI, Microsoft and business stakeholders. Collaborate across functional and market leadership teams to align adoption priorities. Influence senior stakeholders and establish adoption as a strategic business capability.
What you’ll need:
- Essential: Significant experience leading enterprise-wide change, transformation and adoption programmes. Proven track record driving technology or digital adoption at scale. Experience establishing and scaling enterprise communities and ambassador/champion networks. Strong executive stakeholder management and influencing capability. Experience building engagement, communications and enablement programmes. Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills. Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex global organisation.
- Desirable: Experience leading Microsoft Copilot, AI or digital workplace adoption initiatives. PROSCI, ADKAR or equivalent change management certification. Experience working within large, matrixed global organisations. Knowledge of Microsoft Viva Engage and employee engagement platforms.
