PURPOSE
The purpose of this document is to help prospective team members better understand the role and responsibilities with the position of Client Manager at OpenDoor, WPP’s bespoke global operating model for Amazon.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are searching for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our OpenDoor team as a Client Manager. This is a full-time position based in London. The Role will report to XX and will manage a team of XX. This role plays a crucial part in supporting WPP's mission to deliver consistency, delivery excellence and best in class service for Amazon in every country across its diverse businesses, including XCM, Prime Video, and RMI.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage day to day requests and work-streams from helping to inform the annual strategy to managing ad hoc projects, and ensure work is delivered to a high quality and meets deadlines.
- Work closely with the regional planning teams, and where required with local market contacts, to help answer queries, address critical concerns, brief them on activities and help direct them on their responses.
- Act as a primary point of contact for day-to-day client communications, building a strong, trusted relationship with key stakeholders.
- Contribute to governance meetings with central clients for multi-market brands to provide them with a holistic overview of the business.
- Collaborate with and understand the roles of the specialist teams internally, to co-ordinate and add value to client work.
- Build a rapport with the full regional team and the local markets, organize regional and network catchups for process governance, knowledge sharing, promote best practice and keep the local teams up to date with the latest global innovations & developments.
- Develop an understanding of your client’s business, consumer purchase journey and the broader industry sector.
- Foster innovative thinking and ideas with particular emphasis on content, digital and technology innovation, and the use of data.
- Where required, ensure accurate and timely delivery of media plans and regional reporting (e.g. campaigns, competitive etc.) and help provide analysis and insight into results and recommendations.
- For campaigns activated centrally from the regional hub, oversee end-to-end campaign management – briefing, legal compliance, finance requirements, commercial agreements, reporting, post-campaign analyses, budget tracking & reconciliation and cross-company billing where needed.
- Develop client documents, POV’s and presentations that are insightful and tell a clear story.
- Keep up to date with industry developments and internal products and processes and converse effectively about them with clients and colleagues.
- Oversee the finance billing process to collate PO’s, track funds, monitor client billing and ensure teams are reconciling bookings (if applicable).
- Assist in the development and execution of data-driven marketing campaigns across multiple Amazon businesses.
- Utilize WPP Open and other cutting-edge tools to track campaign performance and identify optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with WPP (media and beyond) and Amazon team members to ensure seamless campaign delivery and achieve outstanding results.
- Contribute to a culture of innovation by exploring new technologies and approaches to marketing challenges.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, particularly in the areas of e-commerce and digital marketing.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong organizational and project management skills and be able to coordinate multiple stakeholders, as well as demonstrating excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Strong digital and data knowledge, preferably with a strong media activation background (essential for the client activating campaigns in the regional Hub in London).
- Act on your own initiative to immerse yourself in the client’s business and category to challenge thinking or improve ways of working.
- Entertainment category experience.
- Multi-market experience.
