As the Business Analytics Manager, Global Client Solutions (GCS) Operations, you will be instrumental in driving data-driven decision-making and operational excellence within WPP Media. Reporting directly to the Director, Operational Excellence, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting operational data to uncover insights, identify areas for improvement, and measure the impact of strategic initiatives. Your work will directly support the enhancement of efficiency, quality, and effectiveness across our global client portfolio, ultimately contributing to superior client satisfaction and business performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Collection & Analysis: Proactively gather, cleanse, and analyze complex operational data from various sources across GCS client teams to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Performance Reporting & Dashboards: Design, develop, and maintain robust reports and interactive dashboards (e.g., in Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio) to track key operational metrics (KPIs) and provide clear visibility into performance and progress.
  • Insight Generation: Translate raw data into actionable insights and compelling narratives, presenting findings to the Director, Operational Excellence and other stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct in-depth investigations into operational inefficiencies or performance gaps, utilizing analytical techniques to pinpoint underlying causes and recommend data-backed solutions.
  • Initiative Support: Provide critical analytical support for the identification, validation, and implementation of operational excellence initiatives, ensuring recommendations are grounded in solid data.
  • Measurement Frameworks: Assist in establishing and integrating robust measurement frameworks to continuously track, evaluate, and report on the progress and impact of operational improvements.
  • Community Engagement: Contribute data-driven content and insights to the client operations community, fostering knowledge sharing and the dissemination of best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with client operations leads, GCS teams, and other stakeholders to understand data needs, gather requirements, and ensure analytical solutions are relevant and impactful.

  • Effectively communicating complex data and insights to stakeholders, leading to informed decision-making and tangible improvements in operational processes and outcomes.
  • Demonstrating a proactive approach to identifying data opportunities and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement through analytical rigor.

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience: Experience in a business analysis, data analysis, or similar analytical role, ideally within the media, marketing, or agency sectors.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio) for dashboard creation and reporting. Expertise in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data manipulation). Solid understanding of SQL for data extraction and manipulation. Experience using AI and creating AI agents.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and insights clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and build strong working relationships across different departments and seniority levels.
  • Operational Understanding: A foundational understanding of operational processes within client-facing environments, with an eagerness to dive deep into media/marketing agency operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with statistical analysis (e.g., Python/R for data analysis).
  • Prior experience working within WPP Media or a large agency network, demonstrating familiarity with internal systems, processes, and culture.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies or process improvement frameworks (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
