We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst to join the WPP Data and Technology Solutions team. This pivotal role is central to ensuring clarity, efficiency, and scalability across digital operations. You will work together with Solution Architects, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and other domain experts globally to define, document, and optimize global data management and business intelligence functions. You will be responsible for understanding and outlining business requirements that will be used by the interdisciplinary teams, as well as participating in delivery from concept, design, and development to testing.
What will you do:
- Process Assessment & Documentation: Gather, analyse and document existing digital operation, data management and BI processes, identifying manual steps, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies.
- Opportunity Identification: Spot automation opportunities (e.g., RPA, system integrations, workflow optimisation) to enhance efficiency and reduce errors. Help prioritise opportunities by identifying quick wins, dependencies, and delivery complexity, with a strong focus on operational efficiency and user experience.
- Requirements Definition: Document business requirements and turn them into clear and concise functional and technical requirements. Review and analyse the existing gap analysis and work with Scrum Master(s) to translate identified gaps into prioritized user stories and backlog items.
- Impact Modelling: Work with central and local teams to validate business cases. Map the projected 'To-Be' state to illustrate efficiency gains (speed/cost) without sacrificing operational and data management quality.
- Knowledge Sharing: Act as a subject matter expert on processes, ensuring alignment and clear communication within the team. Maintain the 'Truth' of digital operations. When a process changes or an AI tool is updated, you ensure the documentation reflects the new reality.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience as a Business Analyst, Process Improvement Analyst, or related roles on data or platform initiatives.
- Proven experience gathering requirements through workshops, interviews, and documentation review.
- Ability to translate business needs into clear, structured requirements and user stories, features, and epics, and working with product backlogs.

- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills to identify inefficiencies and design effective solutions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English for documentation and team collaboration.
- Solid understanding of data concepts such as master data, reference data, data quality, and integrations.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience working in cross-functional, global teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Miro).
- Experience with process modeling techniques (e.g., BPMN), workflow automation tools (e.g., RPA platforms), or similar.
