Role Summary and Impact

The Media Planning team at EssenceMediacom are experts in the digital paid media landscape. We architect and steward business outcome driven media plans, owning the creation of overall plans, cross-channel budget allocations, in flight cross-channel reporting & optimisation, and post-campaign analysis. We are our clients’ key contacts for a unified view of their campaigns, narrating the story of the whole piece from strategic planning through to PCA.

About the role

This role is a unique position within the PlayStation team straddling Media Planning and Media Activation. It’s a consultative client facing position to help drive PlayStation’s new ways of working internally to provide expertise and guidance around testing, driving to a broad business goal for PS.

Additional detail below:

  • Consultation: Participating in sprint ceremonies as media consultants and embedded contributors, supporting in prioritization, test refinement and hands-on planning as needed.
  • Planning: Development of media plans to support test and measurement framework accordingly and where necessary.
  • Activation: Coordinating a wider team of activation specialists to ensure media executions are realized in a timely manner (note commission will be applied to media following existing SOW).

Skills & Experience

  • Superb knowledge of the digital media landscape and the dynamics of activation across all relevant channels.
  • Highly capable in client management including senior stakeholders.
  • Digital native - strong understanding of digital platforms and capabilities and able to converse with activation at a tactical execution level.
  • Ability to translate business and marketing KPIs to appropriate media KPIs and media strategy into media plans.
  • Excellent organizational skills, close attention to detail and ability to quality control work.
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and project manage multiple workstreams.
  • Development and maintenance of productive relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Proven problem solving and decision-making skills.
