Role Summary and Impact

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Affiliate Account Manager to join the Mindshare Worldwide Media Management & Delivery (MM&D) team. This role will be responsible for strategically managing and optimising a portfolio of key affiliate and partnership accounts for global clients, ensuring the delivery of best-in-class performance marketing solutions. As affiliate Account Manager, you will act as a primary client contact for your assigned accounts, overseeing strategy, planning, activation, and measurement across multiple markets. You will work closely with colleagues across Mindshare, WPP Media, and agency partners to implement innovative solutions that drive meaningful growth for clients. This is a hands-on, client-facing role that requires a blend of strategic thinking, strong relationship management, and analytical prowess. You will contribute significantly to the success of the MM&D team, reporting into the Affiliate Account Director / Affiliate Business Director.

Responsibilities

  • Performance: Serve as a senior client contact for affiliate marketing and partnership activity within your assigned portfolio, delivering strategy, planning, activation, and reporting. Implement best practices in affiliate planning, publisher recruitment, partnership management, and performance optimisation. Develop and execute client roadmaps for your accounts, consistently identifying and integrating innovation, testing, and growth opportunities. Conduct in-depth post-campaign analysis, delivering actionable insights that drive incremental value and continuous improvement. Contribute to the creation of compelling case studies and award entries, showcasing successful client work.
  • People: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including other account managers, strategists, and media buyers, to ensure integrated campaign delivery. Potentially mentor or guide junior team members, sharing best practices and contributing to their development. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, aligning with Mindshare’s values of Energy, Empathy, and Impact.
  • Process: Adhere to and champion established ways of working across planning, activation, reporting, and financial management. Identify opportunities and suggest improvements to existing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the affiliate team. Ensure all finance processes (forecasting, reporting, reconciliations) for your accounts are strictly adhered to. Collaborate with WPP Media colleagues to ensure alignment on shared processes and integration opportunities.
  • Product: Proactively identify and evaluate new publisher opportunities, tech solutions, and industry trends relevant to your client portfolio. Contribute to an integrated approach across affiliate, lead generation, and wider digital and offline channels. Support thought leadership initiatives on incrementality, advanced attribution models, and demonstrating true partner value. Build and maintain strong relationships with affiliate networks, technology providers, and key publishers.
  • Profitability: Contribute to achieving revenue targets and profitability goals for your assigned client portfolio. Identify and pursue incremental opportunities through upselling and cross-selling within existing partnerships. Support new efforts by providing insights, data, and case studies as required.

Skills and Experience

You are a proven affiliate marketing professional with a strong track record of managing and growing client accounts. You are an excellent individual contributor, capable of driving performance and building strong client relationships. You bring an analytical mindset, a proactive approach, and the ability to operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels. You are confident in client-facing situations, adept at managing multi-market campaigns, and passionate about delivering excellence.

Essential:

  • Proven experience in digital marketing with significant expertise in Affiliate marketing.
  • Demonstrable experience managing a portfolio of affiliate accounts for premium brands.
  • Proven track record in driving performance optimisation and achieving client KPIs.
  • Expertise in leading affiliate tech platforms (e.g., Awin, Rakuten, Partnerize, Impact) and a solid understanding of the wider affiliate tech ecosystem.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience contributing to revenue growth and identifying upsell opportunities.
  • Excellent client communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong rapport.
  • Experience in measurement, attribution, and demonstrating the incrementality of affiliate channels.
  • In-depth knowledge of diverse publisher models, including loyalty, content commerce, CSS, CLO, retail media, influencer, and brand-to-brand partnerships.
  • High level of numeracy and analytical ability, with advanced experience using web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) and data analysis tools (e.g., PowerBI, SimilarWeb Pro, or similar platforms).

Desirable:

  • Additional Languages besides English.
  • Experience working in other channels besides Affiliate.
  • Experience in Subscription based clients.
  • Strong understanding of cookies, tracking, and evolving measurement solutions.
