The Role

As our new Account Executive, you won’t be stuck in a corner doing dry data entry. You’ll be right in the engine room of the team, working on the frontline of transforming one of the world's most recognisable, high-impact global brands. Operating within our lean, integrated team, you’ll report directly to our brilliant Account Manager, Phil Rudd. Because we work in flat, agile teams, you’ll gain hands-on experience across media planning, buying, campaign delivery, and creative strategy.

This role is ideal for someone proactive, curious, and eager to build a career in marketing within a fast-paced environment. And remember, you don’t need to know it all yet. We’ll teach you the tools, the terminology, and the strategy.

The Client (Redefining the Future of Learning)

You’ll be working on Pearson, the world's leading learning company, with a massive mission to help everyone achieve their potential through learning. But forget traditional textbooks—today, Pearson is a cutting-edge, digital-first powerhouse. They provide high-quality apps, online learning experiences, assessments, and qualifications that help people build skills and grow in a fast-moving, AI-driven world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Mastery & Campaign Launches: Learn to set up, traffic, and launch live ads across the world’s most powerful digital platforms (including Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, and Google Ads). Partner directly with the Account Manager to co-own our digital channels, responding to client briefs with smart, multi-platform media plans.
  • Real-Time Optimisation & AI: Pull performance data, learn how to analyse the numbers, and help the team adjust live budgets in real-time to maximise campaign impact. Get hands-on with our advanced WPP Open AI agents.
  • Keeping the Engine Running Smoothly: Manage media bookings, handle day-to-day finance queries, and reconcile campaign spend. Maintain smooth, structured working processes between our internal creative partners, media owners, and the client.
  • Industry Networking & Innovation: Develop close, early-stage relationships with our key media partners and cutting-edge tech vendors. Actively seek out new social formats, beta-testing opportunities, and emerging platforms to help our clients stay ahead of the curve.

Skills and Experience

At WPP Media, we believe in the power of our culture and our people. It’s what elevates us to deliver exceptional experiences for both our clients and each other. In this role it will be critical to embrace WPP & WPP Media’s shared core values:

  • Be Extraordinary: Lead collectively to inspire transformational creativity.
  • Create an Open Environment: Balance people and client experiences by cultivating trust.
  • Lead Optimistically: Champion growth and development to mobilise the enterprise.

What We’re Looking For

  • The Essentials: You are a recent graduate (or have equivalent, relevant experience) with a demonstrable passion for digital marketing, social media, and brand-building.
  • An Eye for Detail: You have sharp organisational skills, a dedication to doing great work, and the ability to stay focused when things get busy.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to share your ideas in a collaborative team setting.
