About the Role

The International Account Director plays a crucial role in translating MGM’s global vision into coordinated, high performing media strategies that scale across regions, connect local context to global direction, and deliver consistent operational excellence allowing us to move at the speed of culture. This role oversees all workstreams and manages the delivery of projects from start to finish, engaging with our internal teams and local market colleagues to deliver excellence in execution. This position reports to the International Client Lead (London), manages a Senior Account Executive and co-ordinates a multi-disciplinary central team of planning, strategy, activation, ops, and insights roles.

Leadership & Account Management

  • Lead the day-to-day management of the account, ensuring timely, high-quality responses to client requests.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, local markets and internal teams, acting as the central point of coordination.
  • Review and quality assure deliverables from both the central and local teams before client presentation.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the agreed client scope, resource allocation and key account KPIs.
  • Foster innovative thinking across the account, with particular emphasis on content, digital, technology and data.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practice, particularly across theatrical and digital marketing.

Global-to-Local Orchestration & Ways of Working

  • Facilitate effective knowledge sharing across markets, enabling best practice and continuous learning.
  • Ensure local teams understand campaign objectives, deliverables and agreed ways of working.
  • Support the consistent application of global frameworks, strategic principles, measurement approaches and taxonomy across all markets.
  • Act as the connection between central and local teams, ensuring global direction is translated into effective local execution while surfacing market insights back to the central team.
  • Oversee the review of local market plans.

Integrated Delivery & Operational Excellence

  • Oversee international campaign delivery, ensuring integration across strategy, planning, activation and shared services.
  • Manage campaign timelines, workflows and governance to ensure all deliverables are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Partner closely with the Operations Director to embed efficient processes, templates, SLAs and escalation paths.
  • Monitor quality, consistency and accuracy across all campaign deliverables and market outputs.
  • Proactively identify delivery risks, resolve issues and escalate where appropriate.

Collaboration Across Teams & Stakeholders

  • Work closely with activation, planning, analytics, data science and shared service teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Build strong relationships across local markets, central teams and specialist functions to drive collaboration and alignment.
  • Remove blockers across agencies, regions and workstreams to maintain campaign momentum.
  • Champion cross-market collaboration, sharing learnings, case studies and best practice to continuously improve campaign quality.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven track record of successfully managing end-to-end multi-market campaigns.
  • Experience navigating matrixed organizations and connecting cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to run well-prepared client and network status meetings.
  • Strong operational discipline and comfort managing high-velocity campaign environments.

  • Entertainment category / Theatrical experience.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-channel activation, measurement, or data science teams.
  • Familiarity with Amazon’s narrative culture and leadership principles.
