Role Summary and Impact: We are seeking a highly motivated Global Account Director to fill an important role within the Breitling Global Media account at T&P / WPP Media. This pivotal position is crucial for supporting our Global Leadership / operations and execution for Breitling, a prestigious and one of the fastest‑growing luxury watch brands globally. On Breitling you will be instrumental in helping us with our ambitious growth plans across over 30 countries into impactful digitally focused media campaigns, client service, precise campaign execution, Global governance and reporting with a core focus of your time on their Tier 1 markets of USA, UK, Germany and Switzerland plus Global partnerships that benefit many.
Your role includes leveraging high‑profile partnerships such as the NFL and Aston Martin Formula One, alongside influential brand ambassadors like Austin Butler & Earling Haaland. You will be 50% allocated to the Breitling account, ensuring your focus, and will report directly to the new Global Leader based in London, playing a key part in defining the future success of this significant partnership. You will have an Account Executive reporting into you, as well as helping to be the connector across all our Hub team disciplines (such as comms planning, strategy, analytics, performance digital etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Account Management / Directing: Support the team and help manage the Breitling Global Media accounts including direct line management of a dedicated Account Executive, nurturing and progressing their development and ensuring team objectives are met.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as a trusted central point of contact for key Breitling clients based in Zurich, building strong relationships and providing agile responses to requests or deliverables.
- Market Oversight & Execution: Help to ensure consistency of our media planning and activation efforts across both brands, working closely with the Hub leadership, local agency teams, and oversee centrally delivered digital performance for 30+ additional Tier 2 markets.
- Performance & Innovation: Champion Global Digital Performance initiatives, ensuring the implementation of cutting‑edge media solutions that deliver measurable results and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Facilitate seamless collaboration with various internal WPP Media / T&P teams, including Client Leadership, Planning, Digital specialists, and Analytics, as well as external partners in PR, Events, Creative & Production, to ensure integrated campaign delivery.
- Tool & Technology Adoption: Leverage WPP Open, our world‑class AI‑powered product suite, and other advanced audience insight, planning and accurate reporting tools / collaboration spaces for strategic planning, insightful reporting, and robust market analysis.
- Operational & Governance Excellence: Oversee the accuracy and timely delivery of media plans, financial reconciliation, and billing processes, ensuring all operational and governance aspects of the account run efficiently and to the highest standards.
The other 50% of your time will be working on JLR, a recently won Global Account as an Account Director serving as the Network Lead.
Role Summary and Impact: As a key member of the JLR Global Media Team, you will be working with other Global Leads and Market Leads on prioritizing, problem solving, and communicating across the WPP Media Network. This will include creating and maintaining processes, escalation frameworks, training, and any operational difficulties that may arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with JLR Media Regional & Market Leads. This will include regular connects, documentation, and status updates.
- Client Market SME: Act as the Market SME when in client‑facing situations, advocating on behalf of their ways of working and translating client requirements into actionable next steps for market teams.
- Global Team Collaboration: Understand and champion Global Team initiatives and ways of working. This may involve training plans, rollouts, providing feedback or any other activities necessary to help the JLR Media Global Team execute work effectively.
- Operations: From time to time there may be additional Operations projects that require a Market lens; this will require support and input from the Network Lead.

- 1‑2+ years’ experience in global media account management role.
- Real life experience in media planning, campaign reporting, financial oversight, and robust project management.
- Demonstrated ability to gather and collate global marketplace intelligence, insights and information, identify competitive trends, and generate actionable insights.
- Proficiency in understanding and/or hunger to learn and navigate diverse global market landscapes, with cultural nuances, and local market requirements.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and requests simultaneously, coordinate information across multiple sources and markets, and consolidate information into digestible, accurate and timely format.
