OpenMind by WPP is an integrated agency model drawing on talent from across WPP. It has been created to accelerate the European transformation for Nestlé’s media function. Core to the solution is the advanced best data and technology capabilities, fuelled by WPP’s investment in AI, to maximise the impact of Nestlé media investment. This role is for the OpenMind team for Nestlé Europe.

The ZEUR Commerce Strategy Account Director role will understand the capabilities of commerce platforms including retail media networks and ad-tech partners and will assist in solving complex business problems through simplified POVs. The role will identify product, process, or solution opportunities based on Nestlé’s needs and unlocking new growth opportunities across Retail Digital Media channels for Nestlé.

This role will have the opportunity to work across Nestlé Europe RDM teams, work with retail partners, and support highly dynamic cross-functional project teams. An entrepreneurial spirit with a bias for action and problem-solving is necessary to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the ZEUR RDM Strategy Lead and ensure Above Market principles and best practices are cascaded in the local markets.
  • Advise on ZEUR opportunities for RDM that should be led out of local markets.
  • Contribute to upleveling account management and improve how we serve NestlĂ© RDM teams across Europe.
  • Support specialist teams (organic and paid search, programmatic, data, and analytics) to deliver comprehensive solutions that accomplish Nestlé’s business objectives.
  • Support the integration between commerce and brand media to develop end-to-end media plans for NestlĂ© covering RDM strategy throughout.
  • Manage relationships to ensure delivery of first-to-market media solutions.
  • Stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices in retail media.
  • Develop and cascade POVs on changing industry dynamics.
  • Assist in developing commerce and retail media content for NestlĂ© RDM teams, including educational trainings, POVs, and frameworks.
  • Lead the adoption of Commerce tools for NestlĂ© including the adoption of Amazon Marketing Cloud.
  • Become a key stakeholder in the NestlĂ© business, leading and executing their RDM vision.
  • Work with planning team to help integrate RDM capabilities into everyday planning.

Skills and Experience:

  • Substantial experience in commerce across paid media, trade strategy, retail, consulting, and/or analytics.
  • Ability to execute effective media plans that achieve business objectives.
  • Experience managing a team of direct reports.
  • Drive to learn and understand the retail landscape and the latest trends in commerce media.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas.
  • Deep understanding of retail commercial elements such as profit margin, inventory levels, forecasting, and demand planning to inform media decisions.
  • Deep understanding of how different media channels work together and how retail media fits within the wider ecosystem.
  • Experience with retail bid management platforms, such as Pacvue.
  • Experience in campaign management and optimisation across multiple retail platforms (Amazon, Criteo, etc.).
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • A self-starter attitude that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • To have an opinion and be able to voice it in a clear and positive light.
