You approach every challenge with a proactive, excellence-driven mindset, always looking for opportunities to drive the business forward, both for clients and WPP Media.
What You’ll Deliver
- Client Leadership & Trusted Partnership: Serve as the single point of contact for senior clients, leading the development of media strategy, establishing best practices, designing consumer engagement strategies, and providing continuous thought leadership. You will build and nurture 'Trusted Advisor' relationships with key clients through critical, proactive thinking and insightful, informed recommendations.
- Global Strategy Design & Multi-Market Orchestration: Design and deliver cutting-edge media strategies across multiple markets, demonstrating a profound understanding of the nuanced connection and influence between central/global strategic requirements and local adaptation.
- Growth & Innovation Catalyst: Identify and cultivate organic growth opportunities from existing clients, collaborating closely with the Strategy Partner to achieve agency growth targets. You will be a driving force in designing partnership and innovation roadmaps that support the longer-term needs and ambitions of our clients.
- Cross-Agency & Specialist Collaboration: Develop strong, synergistic relationships and drive seamless collaboration with creative agency teams to ensure the deep integration of media and messaging, creating truly award-worthy campaigns. You will also champion collaboration with MS WW specialist teams – including Data Strategy + Insights, Digital Transformation, Innovation + Invention, and Commerce – to continually elevate the solutions we bring to clients and maximise the impact of our work.
- Brief Development & Accountability: Collaborate proactively with client stakeholders to shape precise and insightful briefs. You will establish clear, accountable KPIs and success metrics for our strategies, ensuring we rigorously hold ourselves and our partners accountable for achieving them.
- Thought Leadership & Network Mobilisation: Inspire clients through innovative thought leadership, consistently identifying new opportunities to define and engage with core audiences, and showcasing new media and platform offerings. You will actively host or attend forums – from media days and conferences to awards ceremonies and regular team touchpoints – to build relationships, mobilise best practices, and share insights across our global network.
Skills and Experience

- Integrated Media Expertise: A strong understanding of the connection and impact of end-to-end media strategies, encompassing both brand-building and performance-focused objectives. You have experience advising on comprehensive communication strategies across owned, earned, shared and paid touchpoints.
- Global & Multi-Market Leadership: Experience in leading the design and delivery of media strategies across multiple markets, coupled with a clear understanding of the influence this has on multi-market versus local strategic requirements.
- Leadership & Communication Excellence: An independent self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You have a proven track record of presentation design and delivery at a senior client level, and the ability to lead, manage, and inspire teams across diverse cultures, continents, and capabilities.
- Client Partnership & Brief Development: Proven experience partnering with and supporting clients in distilling complex business challenges into concise, actionable media strategic briefs. You are a strong storyteller with the ability to formulate clear, actionable recommendations on complex business problems.
- Research & Tool Proficiency: Experience using syndicated research tools and consumer research methodologies & techniques (e.g., TGI, eMarketer, WARC). You can quickly adopt and leverage proprietary tools and data for insight generation, planning, and measurement.
- Industry & Economic Understanding: A solid understanding of the economic dynamics and integrated media strategies needed to drive growth across both B2C and B2B environments.
