We are looking for an Investment Director to oversee Boots and TUI traditional media planning & buying. The role centres around ensuring we deliver against all planning and buying targets for all media and delivering results for clients, growing their business. The candidate will require 10 years of media buying experience, with a proven track record in delivering for clients.

Within this role you will have involvement throughout the entire media planning and buying process, ensuring the comms brief is fit for purpose and ladders back to measurable outcomes, ensuring the buying of media stays true to the approach. The planning individuals and responsibilities will also be under your remit; Boots and TUI AV will be your responsibility in totality.

In Three Months

  • A functioning team of buyers and planners that are both developing and delivering strong campaigns across multiple media channels.
  • Ensured all team members (SAD and below) have a clear and motivating career growth plan, including a succession plan and measurable KPIs.
  • Demonstrate you understand how to leverage specialists and departments within EssenceMediaCom to deliver the best outcomes and drive revenue for Mediacom.
  • Ability to manage the internal client Partner, ensuring they are happy with the work being produced.
  • Built a strong working relationship with the other individuals within Planning and Implementation.
  • Gained a full understanding of the client businesses which you will oversee.
  • Have a solid grasp of all the commercial aspects of your role (clients’ businesses and ours).

In Six Months

  • Created and delivered an investment strategy to meet our clients evolving needs that delivers the clients growth plans.
  • Started to demonstrate to your clients an improvement in key business performance metrics.
  • Built strong working relationships with all key stakeholders internally – this includes Comms Planners and commercial/ product leads within our Business.
  • Developed successful senior client relationships and create a strong client service ethic among the investment team.
  • Have a full understanding of your team’s capabilities and started mapping the progression of high performers.

In 12 Months

  • Delivered stable or improving client referral scores on all your client businesses.
  • Delivered demonstrable revenue growth or value saving within your clients.
  • Delivered against all trading commitments.
  • Raised the commercial understanding and financial best practice across the group.
