Role Summary and Impact

The Manager, Solutions Architect, Data and Measurement is a pivotal role at WPP Media Solutions, blending strategic vision with practical execution to drive continuous improvement, growth, innovation, and competitive differentiation. This individual is responsible for designing, testing, and globally rolling out new data and measurement solutions, thereby providing clients with access to new technologies, data, audiences, and advanced measurement and attribution capabilities. This role ensures a consistent vision and architecture, offering best practice guidance on implementation, and continuously evaluates the success of these solutions.

The key responsibilities for the role are:

  • Work closely with our global solution leads and local teams on designing, testing and implementation of new measurement solutions.
  • Engage with our partners and vendors on a technical level to architect solutions, drive solution development and develop joint roadmaps, where required.
  • Enhance the scale and sophistication of data & measurement solution adoption by clients and markets.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in both commercial and technical contexts.
  • Able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Represent Global WPP Media Solution's interests in relevant cross-functional WPP Media initiatives.
  • Design testing frameworks and guide ‘proof of concept’ market tests to drive iterative development.
  • Identify and help test partnership opportunities across inventory, data and technology to support the successful development of new measurement solutions.
  • Input into business cases for new solutions to help illustrate their value and impact.
  • Support the research and assessment of new solutions and track and evaluate their success.
  • Input into the go-to-market strategy, positioning, marketing and training materials for new solutions, working closely with the global solution leads and market development teams within existing frameworks.
  • Actively contribute to and help drive a culture of innovation across our global organisation.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in a data and measurement environment, ideally within in the media and advertising industries.
  • Experience working across multiple markets and across disciplines would be very beneficial.
  • Programmatic advertising expertise across multiple channels.
  • Extensive experience in ad measurement, covering campaign objectives such as reach/frequency, addressability, viewability, attention, brand effectiveness, footfall, search uplift, online sales, and offline sales.
  • Proficiency in techniques like brand lift surveys, attribution, incrementality, and MMM.
  • Familiarity with datasets including consumer profiling, sales data, and geolocation.
  • Technical proficiency with cloud platforms, SQL, APIs and data warehousing.
  • Experience in Addressable TV measurement is advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of the measurement landscape and primary vendors, products, and services.
  • Experience in conducting RFIs, negotiating contracts, and managing partnerships is a plus.
  • Ability to manage relationships across multiple market profiles and business functions.
  • Comfortable planning and adapting priorities in a dynamic business environment.
  • Proactive in identifying new opportunities to keep WPP Media Solutions at the forefront of media measurement.
  • Practical experience in delivering end-to-end test and learn initiatives.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations.
  • Ability to stay updated on industry developments and provide relevant advice or commentary.
