Role Summary and Impact
We are searching for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our Wavemaker AV team. This is a full-time position based in London. This role plays a crucial part in supporting WPP's mission to deliver consistency, delivery excellence and best in class service across a client set that includes the Chery Motors Group (Chery, Omoda and Jaecoo), as well as Estee Lauder.
The AV Manager will have a crucial role within the team, responsible for the delivery of excellence in market media planning and buying, as well as low-budget media partnerships. For this position, you take a much higher and wider level of responsibility in the planning and buying delivery of TV, VOD, YouTube and Cinema. You are trusted to produce accurate work and prioritize tasks with minimum supervision. While your technical skills remain important, managing requires new skill-sets and in this role you will need strong interpersonal expertise. There is also significant involvement alongside your AD with PRFs /Audit delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing the assigned teams to implement media campaigns.
- Applying best practices to campaign management and interpretation of data.
- Acting as the escalation point for issues.
- Managing and taking ownership of campaigns from initial planning stage, through to presenting proposals, as well as best-in-class buying to completion.
- Delivering accurate planning and reporting in line with strategic and commercial objectives.
- Understanding the role of AV as part of the overall campaign, applying smart use of campaign planning or market opportunities.
- Applying advanced data analytics to understand client challenges and media investment strategies, presenting findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Being resourceful in finding relevant data sources where available (third-party data, existing client data) to support presentations.
- Applying strategic thinking when working with clients and third parties to achieve desired outcomes.
- Supporting in providing media investment and campaign insights for quarterly or annual business reviews.
- Gaining a thorough understanding of what the client/agency values and expects through formal and informal feedback from multiple stakeholders.

Key skills and experience required:
- Experience in media planning and buying across TV, BVOD, Cinema and YouTube.
- Overseeing team to ensure the accuracy of work, including campaign planning.
- Knowledge and experience with key AV tools and booking systems including (but not limited to) MediaExplorer, DDS, AdvantEdge, techedge, Caria, Prisma and Adwords.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, comfortable with presenting results and proposals to internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability of ensuring accuracy of financial and commercial tasks, prioritising reconciliation and tasks which drive net working capital to the business, including a timely resolution of reconciliations and queries.
- Ability to balance several projects and tasks simultaneously with minimal error and without losing track of important details or deliverables.
- Can determine the relative impact and urgency of individual tasks.
- Strong management skills, supportive of others in setting priorities and eliminating issues; aligning own priorities with the objectives of the company and the department.
