Join the Research and Insight team of EssenceMediaCom at our central Manchester campus. This role focuses on gathering, analysing, and communicating consumer insights to drive best-in-class research and support media planning across Manchester and Leeds.
Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop solutions to insight questions.
- Answer client queries and feed the planning process using a range of insight tools, covering consumer understanding, audience targeting, social listening, market interrogation, geo insights, culture, and trends.
- Scope and analyse bespoke research solutions (e.g., online quantitative surveys, focus groups, online research communities) with the Director, ensuring projects stay on timescale and budget, and liaising with clients and suppliers.
- Prepare high-quality client reports by translating complex data into clear insights and visualisations.
- Co-author proactive research pieces and thought-leadership documents for PR and new-business activities.
- Work with other EssenceMediaCom offices and WPP companies to develop and implement new insight products.
- Keep up with emerging insight trends, especially AI, and identify ways to incorporate AI into our work for client benefit.
Skills and Experience
- Passion for understanding people and communicating insights across multiple channels.
- Knowledge of key insight tools such as Brandwatch, TGI, YouGov Brand Index, etc.
- Experience with web analytics and search data (e.g., SimilarWeb, Google Keyword Planner/Trends).
- Analytical mindset with ability to craft clear narratives from data.
- Ability to analyse, interpret, and present information creatively and engagingly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and turning large datasets into compelling stories.
- Experience juggling multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
- Confident communication style; independent and proactive when dealing with clients.
- Mature, enthusiastic presentation style tailored to diverse audiences.
- Excellent attention to detail.
