Role Summary & Impact
The BI Analyst (Data Visualization) will serve as a data visualization expert on a BI and engineering team assigned to one of WPP’s major global clients. The role involves building and maintaining a global data warehouse, taxonomy management, data checker tools, automated reports, and data provisioning applications to ensure media and marketing stakeholders worldwide have access to the right data and insights for decision making.
Key responsibilities include maintaining a global Measure‑based reporting solution, leveraging existing templates and building custom collectors, data models, cloud architectures, and visualizations as needed. The analyst will automate the collection and transformation of disparate marketing data into a single source of truth, continually improving it to incorporate new data sources and derive new insights.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and maintain rich, useful media campaign performance dashboards in Microsoft PowerBI.
- Coordinate with data engineers on the development of data views for use in dashboards.
- Build and maintain prototype dashboards’ visuals and semantic layers.
- Lead UAT processes for revised prototype dashboards, presenting features to and collecting feedback from internal and client‑side stakeholders.
- Update dashboards per client‑prioritized feedback.
- Work with team leadership and WPP OMS teams to include dashboards in the agency operating system.
- Develop technical and training documentation for media, analytic, and technical audiences.
- Participate in training sessions for the launch of dashboards.
- Coordinate with single‑region focused campaign analytics and technical teams to aid in local‑market customization efforts.
- Gather, vet, and manage changes to the global taxonomy.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in data visualization, preferably handling advertising media or marketing data.
- Professional experience with business intelligence tools, preferably Microsoft PowerBI.
- Analytically minded, able to understand and overcome technically complex challenges, and to tell compelling stories with data.
- Experience in designing or maintaining taxonomy‑based data operations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to manage multiple tasks autonomously.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills, ensuring your thoughts and needs are heard and understood.
- A passion for the digital marketing ecosystem and an understanding of the role that data plays within it.
- Deliver best results when working in a team environment, and the ability to partner effectively with people of varying degrees of technical capability.

- Previous experience working with data and technology.
- Experience with digital marketing platforms and the data they generate, in particular Google Marketing Platform, Facebook, TikTok, etc.
- An understanding of how data is tracked and exchanged in digital advertising, including the role of ad servers and third‑party tech vendors.
- Experience using or building reports with business intelligence software, ideally Microsoft PowerBI.
- Work experience within a marketing organization, preferably at a media agency or related company (e.g., publisher, ad tech, client marketing organization).
