Role Summary And Impact
Openmind, part of WPP, is an integrated agency model drawing on talent from across WPP.
It has been created to accelerate the European transformation for Nestlé’s media function.
Core to the solution is the advanced best data and technology capabilities, fuelled by WPP’s investment in AI, to maximise the impact of Nestlé media investment.
The Category Planner sits within the joined ZEUR Food & Confectionery team.
This is a fantastic chance for a confident cross‑channel media practitioner to input heavily into the strategic planning of multiple multichannel strategies for Nestlé and while developing also client leadership skills.
You will be given a range of planning responsibilities that will help you build your skills above and beyond a well‑rounded planner.
Aside from this, you’ll be part of a great team who will strive to deliver best‑in‑class planning work for Nestlé and Open Mind, pushing industry boundaries whilst maximising returns for their brands.
Responsibilities
- Support the ZEUR Food & Confectionery Strategy Leads in all work related to media strategy, campaign toolkits and guidance on best practices.
- Audience Definitions, building and analysing in Audience Origin
- Comparison of media landscapes and media differences across countries
- Gathering information from local markets
- Contacting publishers & platforms for questions and requests
- Creating Production Plans
- Helping to define the strategy, generating insights
- Power Point Chart creation
- Support the ZEUR Food & Confectionery Category Lead in data collection, local market coordination, analysis, client communication, and development projects.
- Drawing data and plans from the Nestlé business tools (Redmill, CPRS, MMP, Open platform) and sharing with the client and building reports & analysis on them.
- Being responsible for ongoing collection of information from local markets (e. g., responsible for BLS collection, best practices, cases, reports), also helping with ad‑hoc data collection.
- Helping to put together different types of reports and analysis, as well as other types of decks (such as campaign performance reviews and QBRs) through data collection and analysis and building PPT slides.
- Communicating with the client and our internal teams, coordinating timelines and meeting schedules.
- Onboard fully onto the Open Mind platforms and Nestlé specific tools & integrate with all key stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders including creative agency counterparts.
- Work with above‑market specialists to help integrate capabilities into everyday planning.
- Support the development of exceptional, award‑winning media work.
- Develop a solid understanding of Nestlé’s business, and marketing, and the role media plays within it.
- Build strong relationships with local and above‑market teams and above‑market clients.
- Continue to develop understanding of digital, data, and marketing technology, and how we use them to drive growth for our clients.
- Contribute to Open Mind culture in the team – great planners with clear goals, objectives, and development plans.
Skills And Experience
- Good understanding of different media channels, and where and when to use them (effective and efficient media planning).
- Good understanding of media KPIs and how to read them.
- Experienced in using the WPP Media tools: Architect, The Hub, Audience Translator, Audience Origin ADB (the new Open Tools) and BAV.
- Experienced in using other industry tools such as WARC, Mintel, Statista, Euromonitor, TGI, and You Gov Brand Index.
- Ideally experienced in using the platform business managers (Meta, Tik Tok, Pinterest, Amazon, You Tube) but this is not mandatory.
- Excel and Power Point savvy.
- Strong analytical mind, who can identify trends and insights across multiple data sources.
- Problem solving skills and a desire to find solutions and new ways around obstacles.
- A thirst for learning about technology, trends, media, people, brands and industry.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Good storytelling and presentation skills – to give our ideas and thinking the best chance of coming to fruition.
