Role Summary And Impact
As a People Advisor at WPP Media, you will be a vital partner to our business, playing a crucial role in fostering an engaged, motivated, and inclusive workforce via organisational alignment and optimisation projects. You will champion fair access to opportunities and help cultivate a trust‑based culture that drives long‑term performance across the organisation.

You’ll work closely with a dedicated team of People Coordinators, providing essential support and guidance, and contributing to a cohesive and positive working environment within the People Team. Key Responsibilities
- Contract Migration and HR Advice: Serve as a primary point of contact for employee queries, providing expert advice and guidance on HR policies, procedures and best practices. Collaborate with People Partners, People Operations Manager and Project Management team on key contractual changes. Support HR Coordinators in their administration of projects. Lead visa, mobility, and immigration processes, collaborating closely with our Mobility Partner, WPP central teams, and external experts.
- HR Operations & Administration Excellence: Oversee and manage the team’s shared inbox, ensuring timely and effective resolution of all incoming queries. Ensure accurate and timely input and maintenance of employee data within Workday, our HRIS, including all payroll amendments. Manage all HR administration for your designated business area, including checking contracts of employment, new starter packs, and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and compliant.
- Policy, Compliance & Data Management: Stay up to date of all relevant Employment Legislation, proactively updating policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance. Develop and update clear, practical manager guidelines to support effective people management. Lead and ensure compliance with audit, SOX, and GDPR requirements. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all HR policies, processes and systems. Responsible for the accurate input and maintenance of HR data resources and effective management of the HRIS. Work closely with the HR data team to help them prepare HR data.
- Team Leadership & Resource Management: Responsible for effective resource planning within your team of People Coordinators, ensuring business‑as‑usual tasks and projects are completed to a high standard and on time. Contribute to the generation of innovative ideas and assist the wider People Team and People Operations Manager in the delivery of HR projects and initiatives across the Company.
Skills And Experience
- Proven HR Expertise: A demonstrable track record as a proactive and self‑motivated HR professional with solid generalist HR knowledge, including employee relations, TUPE, performance management, organisational change, reward and UK employment legislation.
- Relationship Building & Influence: Exceptional ability to build strong, trust‑based relationships across all levels of an organisation. You’ll possess sound influencing skills and the confidence to advise and guide managers effectively.
- Analytical & Problem‑Solving Acumen: The ability to analyse complex information, exercise sound judgment and present insights concisely and impactfully.
- Adaptability & Resilience: Comfortable navigating change and ambiguity, maintaining a professional and positive demeanour under pressure.
- Communication Excellence: A compelling communicator, both written and oral, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively.
