Street Cleansing Operative

Location: Isle of Wight

Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days from 7 on a rota basis, 6.00am – 1.30/2.30pm

Duration: Temporary Ongoing

Responsibilities

• Emptying public rubbish bins including dog waste.
• litter picking
• clearing pavements, paths, drains and gullies of green waste.
• weed removal
• gum and graffiti removal
• vehicle checks and reporting maintenance
• adherence to health and safety and highways regulations

Experience / Qualifications

• Must have full clean driver’s license with a good awareness of health and safety.
• Must be physically fit due to nature of duties and be able to undertake manual handling.
• Must be able to work well as part of a team and on own initiative, outside, in all weathers.

Salary

Salary: £12.71 per hour worked.
